We have also taken part in the Cure for Diabetes

Walk, Revlon Walk for breast cancer, and Aids

Walk.  In addition, every year we hold our Latina

Youth Leadership Conference for 8th grade girls

and sell Lambda Grams which benefit and promote

Latina/o literacy. 

Lambda Theta Nu Sorority, Inc. prides itself in holding

community service as one of it’s ideals and main focuses.  Although the focus of our service is the Latina/o community, the ladies of the Sigma chapter strive to also partake in community services that will benefit the community at large.

Throughout the years we have participated in

community services such as soup kitchens for

the homeless, adopted a family for Christmas,

sponsored carwashes for breast cancer research,

toy and book drives for children in need,

volunteering with the Hispanic Scholarship Fund,

participating in Jumpstart events, and a trip

down to Baja to work with Orphanages in the area.
